					<description>I think that any measure that simplifies the Gift Aid process should be welcome. Whilst it is not terribly complicated for claiming single cases when a whole array of cases and complications come into play it can be extremely burdensome for charities to claim and claim in a correct manner. The many rules and regulations that govern what is and is not eligible for Gift Aid as well as the methods for claiming under different circumstances should be simplified. 

The idea of a set percentage of donations coming from tax payers would indeed reduce the amount of paper work and in theory would seem like a good idea but of course as soon as it seems like this diminishes the amount of money going to the charities it may not be so welcome after all despite the reduced bureaucracy
